Lesson 7: Government Incentives & Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer (EEF)
Nitrogen is a necessary nutrient for crops. But sometimes, when nutrient best-management practices are not used, some of the N can be lost to air and water. Nutrien promotes what is known as 4R nutrient stewardship: that is, use the Right fertilizer source at the Right rate, at the Right time and in the Right place.
In this lesson, we will explain the two main incentive programs for using Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer such as ESN, and give a brief overview of a few others.
