ESN Increases Corn Yield for Winning Team
Virginia and North Carolina grain farmer Heath Cutrell knows a good thing when he sees it. In 2022 Cutrell won the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) yield contest with 394 bu./acre; the best average in the country. He considers ESN one of the keys to his success to increase corn yield. “You can tell the difference when you don’t use it.”
Fenton Eure, Nutrien Ag Services manager, has worked with Cutrell for several years to fine-tune his fertilizer applications and says ESN has been a huge part of Cutrell’s success. Despite challenges from mother nature, the 2023 field in Chesapeake, VA. is looking good. From equipment to seed and fertility “the whole team deserves a big pat on the back’” says Cutrell.
